Marie Bovard
I was born August 29th 2001. I'm an eighteen-year-old freerider living and skiing in Les Portes du Soleil. I started skiing at the age of two,
living in the biggest ski area of the alps, Les Portes du Soleil. For 3 years, I was part of Ski Valais and soon got one of the best young alpine skiers of the Valais. I also had good national results, with a 3rd place in the Grand-prix Migros finale (Stoos). After getting two times champion of the Valais and overall winner of the Ski Valais Ford series, I stopped alpine skiing and started racing the Junior Freeride Tour (JFT) in the season 2015/16, at the age of 14. Next to freeriding, I obtained my matura diploma in 2019 and I now started studying Psychology at the university of Lausanne

GOALS
For the upcoming season 2019/20, my goal is to compete in the 4* competition at the Freeride world qualifier and to finish in the first 5.
On a longer term, my goal is to be able to compete on the Freeride World Tour
In parallel to competition, I wish to improve my skiing and also make more filming and videos about skiing. Next to freeriding, I also wish to continue studying.
